Opportunity Cost

I hated Economics when I was in high school, but somehow I learned one thing that has influenced my daily life ever since.

Opportunity Cost: What am I NOT doing if I do this?

In the book “Start Finishing: How to Go from Idea to Done”, Charlie Gilkey expanded on this concept:

✅ Everything you do *displaces* something else you could have done.
✅ The work that really matters will require a concerted amount of time to finish.
✅ The more you channel your energy toward one project, the faster you’ll finish it and can move on to the next project.

I love this reminder because I sometimes have a hard time finishing one thing before starting something new.
